Ministry of Highways Deer Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Project (April 15, 2024 – October 18, 2024)
The travelling public can expect minimal delays or disruptions to their normal travel schedules. One lane will remain open on the bridge during the rehabilitation work, with a 3.4-meter width restriction. Traffic shall be accommodated on the bridge in one direction at a time using temporary traffic lights and barriers. Due to one-way traffic controlled by traffic lights, travellers can anticipate slow traffic on the bridge and some delays at the light. There may be times when the bridge will be briefly closed intermittently for about an hour a few times a day, which will be announced on the Highway Hotline a week before closure ( https://hotline.gov.sk.ca/map ). The province and contactor are in the process of scheduling days where both lanes will be accessible to accommodate moves that require a wider width, such as farm machinery. Once information is provided regarding both lanes being opened to accommodate larger moves, the RM will provide an update via our website and Facebook. If you have any questions, please contact the Ministry of Highways Customer Service Centre at 1-844-754-4929.
