Snow Flags (Driveway Snow Removal)
While it is the land occupants' responsibility to clear snow from their private property, including driveways, they have the option to purchase snowplow flags from the RM of Britannia.
Land occupants must first sign a Snow Plow Liability Waiver which are available at the Municipal Office, and then purchase the flag(s). Flags must be placed at the end of their driveway when plowing is needed and the occupant then does one of the following: Call 306-825-ROAD (306-825-7623) or email roads.rm502@sasktel.net and provide name, phone number, and the legal land description of where the snow flag has been placed.
Administrative staff will send the request to the Operations Director or designate for further action.
One flag may cover up to one half hour of snow clearing by a single grader. Where work exceeds one half hour in time and/or requires additional equipment, use of a snowplow flag is not applicable and land occupant shall obtain a Custom Work Quote from the Operations Director.
